What’s up?
What’s up, my name is Camelia Elías Sierra and I am an actor, singer, creative, and boricua de pura cepa based in New York City and Puerto Rico.
Growing up with a cinematographer, music-loving dad and a mom who loves movies and art, I was surrounded by performance and artistic expression from my first breath. Theater made it’s way into my life later through after school activities and trying to find the right artistic outlet for me. The second I worked on a musical for the first time, I was hooked. I decided theater was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
And I did! I spent years making music my main art form and applied to NYU for Drama where I have been studying the past 3 years to get my BFA with the Atlantic Acting School.
Now I strive to make theater that explores identity, highlights the stories of those who often aren’t portrayed, and reminds us why art is the most human form of expression that exists.
Outside of theater and music, you can find me making wild theories about Marvel, digging through historical archives, learning stunt work, or finding a nice spot to lay in the sun.
